Package and Pupmobile rides 06/01/14

Hi pals, Puff Darby here...

We have been receiving cards and packages from pals sending their love and condolences with Coco Rose's shocking passing.  We thank you all for your love and kindness during this sad time.  Momma says she is at a loss not knowing what to actually say because her heart is breaking.  Coco loved everyone but had a very special bond with momma.  She would only give kisses to momma and would make some little grunting noise doing so.  At night, Coco would climb over me and flop right down so that she could snuggle with momma.  Of course she would turn over and demand belly rubs and if momma stopped rubbing Coco's belly, then Coco would start kicking momma with her hind feet to let her know that belly rubbing time was not over until Coco decide momma could stop.  Coco was a very demanding little pup.

Here I'm squeaking my new seahorse that Finley and Whitley send me - Thank you both!

And look...they sent me donuts too!

The humans got out the pupmobile and have been letting me ride in it.  We don't have any sidewalks or paved roads around here, only gravel and dirt so there isn't many places to accommodate the pupmobile but momma takes me around the driveway and up the road a little bit.  She has been toying with the idea of putting bigger wheels on the pupmobile thinking that might help smooth out the ride on the rough surfaces but at $35 dollars per wheel, it could be an expensive flop if the bigger wheels don't help on the rough surfaces plus daddy would have to figure out how to alter the front wheel holder as it isn't long enough to allow for a bigger wheel.  Anyhow, I don't think daddy would be too open for another project when he is still working on the house.

I'm ready - let's ROLL!!

What's taking so long?

What do I have to do, push this thing myself?

Momma finally came over and push me around for a bit, then we went back into the nice cool house and watched the food channel.

    1. I still miss my fursister. Momma hasn't heard anything from the Shih Tzu breeder so we are still waiting for word that we have a fursister in my future - she did say a littler of puppies was expected in mid or late June so we just have to wait...

  2. We had to get a kitty right away for our then senior kitty who was pacing around the den wailing like a baby...meezers can sound like that. Anyways it helped right aay.

Hope that soon enough your new den-mate - 'boss' will help you feel better.

Woofs and licks and hugs going your way.

    2. Momma tried to talk daddy into adopting a kitty when my kitty sister Bay-Ling passed away last year but daddy didn't want to. Momma would have liked to get an older kitty since Simba, my kitty furbrother is 15 years old. Maybe daddy will give in someday.

I'm lost and lonely with out Coco but will have a new fursister sometime in August if the Momma Shih Tzu at the breeders has a female in the litter.

    1. It sure is a shame there isn't any good roads to ride around on in our community. Momma did put a two inch thick foam padding on the pupmobile seat for extra cushioning but going over gravel and dirt roads is bumpy.

    1. Yes, we weren't expecting Coco to leave us so suddenly but she was very ill and wasn't going to recover. Momma says the nights are the hardest because Coco isn't demanding her nightly belly rubs, but I think every minute is the hardest because my best friend is no longer here.

    1. You can call me Puff or Puffy. Puff Darby is my "formal" name but I go by Puffy. We all miss Coco a lot as she was the leader of the pack. Now that Coco isn't here I don't even bother snipping at Simba, my kitty furbrother: it's just not any fun anymore.

  9. The pupmobile hasn't been used too much because of the terrible roads in our community. Momma tried to push it on the gravel road but it was too hard and I was getting bounced around like pop corn in an air popper. Momma tried to off set the bouncing by putting a nice two inch thick foam padding in the pupmobile but that doesn't help.

We are doing okay. Taking things one day at a time...
