Dangers lurking in our yard

Hi pals,

We had some really good photos that were taken in our yard or in our general area that we thought we would share with you.

This is a picture of a Turkey vulture that was sitting on a fence post down by the cattle ranchers pasture.  Since there were several of them around we figured the rancher probably lost one of his calves to a wild animal.

Here we have a hungry Coyote stalking a crow.  This picture was taken from our kitchen window that's how close the Coyote was to the house.  Yikes!  Coco and I better be careful when we are outside.
Here is the same Coyote - the crow flew away and the Coyote didn't get a meal.

We also have bears, mountain lions, bobcats, rattlesnakes, deer, elk and who knows what else here.

  1. Struth ... those Coyote blokes look real mean but beautiful just the same. That must be some country you live in. Sooooooo beautiful. I love that you can add pictures to your story. I can't wait to show you some pictures of Australia. On Dogster (Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!) I had to have my ugly face in there too.

  2. Yep, it's easier to add pictures here than on old Dogster... great pics, Coco Rose & Puffy!!

And Charlie, we're looking forward to those pics of Oz!!

  3. Great photos! We has da coyotes here too.

  4. I'm loving the picture aspect also. I'm with Finley, I can't wait to see pictures of Oz!

  5. Crikey ... I promise they'll come but poor Mum. She lost your site CocoRose and has just found it again. She's in all sorts of strife with this computer thing. She made a blog she thinks but hasn't put anything on it yet but she will soon I hope. Just keep an eye on She had to add the inoz because they said charliedownunder was taken. Probably by her in one of her earlier attempts. She shouldn't be let out!!!!!! We are home next week and my 2 legged sisters will put her straight then the pictures will start.
