Hi pals, Puff Darby here...
This morning daddy asked momma if she wanted to ride over to the dollar store and of course she said "yes". When I noticed momma was getting ready to go someplace, I immediately got off the bed and started dancing and whining to let momma know that I wanted to go too.
Momma picked me up and carried me out to the truck since she had just given me a bath and didn't want me to go rolling around in the dirt. I have been given front seat status now that Coco isn't here any longer and sit in the middle of the seat. The ride to the dollar store is almost 9 miles, one way, down bumpy dirt and gravel roads. I sat nice and didn't complain, but once we arrived at the dollar store and I found out that both momma and daddy were going to leave me in the truck, I started to panic. Momma figured it was best to put me on the floor board of the passenger section just in case I had a major break down. She had an old, ripped quilt on the floor for me to sit on and told me that I couldn't come inside the store but that she would be out quickly.
Daddy came back to the truck first and discovered I had pooped and as he put it "STUNK UP HIS TRUCK". He had to clean up the mess and wasn't pleased. When momma came out and daddy started complaining, momma told him he should be happy that she had the foresight to put me on the back seat floor or else he would probably be sitting in poop on the ride home.
Daddy said he wasn't taking me any place again. Do you think I owe daddy an apology?
Puff Darby - happy momma didn't have her camera with her...
I'd try really turnin on da cute after doin dat one. Bet he won't be mad for long.
ReplyDeleteAt least I didn't roll around or walk in it, so there were no poop foot prints anywhere. The humans know I have separation anxiety so things could have been much worse. Daddy used a hand wipe towel to pick the poop up with but the dollar store didn't have an outside trash can so he put the waste in the truck bed - I hope he remembered to take it out when we got home or else I'm sure to hear about it, AGAIN - BOL
DeleteCrikey Puffy ... of course you don't owe Daddy an apology. He owes you one, mate!! Leaving you in his stinky old truck .... all alone! What was he thinking. Bet you held on as long as you could too, aye? What did he want you to do. Burst like a balloon! Fair dinkum .... what's a bloke supposed to do to please 'em???????
ReplyDeleteDaddy would have been really, really made had I pooped on the seat so I think he should be happy because that didn't happen. And you're fight, I might have exploded had I held it in. I wonder if we are going for a truck ride today - BOL

ReplyDeleteYeah, it was NOT ME....I did notice that daddy didn't take me to go get the mail today - I wonder why.
DeleteWhen you gotta go, you gotta go! Daddy is lucky you didn't do it on his seat! No apologies needed.
ReplyDeleteI didn't give daddy an apology because he should have know what might happen when he left me in the truck. He thought it was funny when I pooped in momma's car but didn't think it was funny when I did it in his truck.
DeleteNaturally its only funny when it didn't happen to you...
ReplyDeleteThat's why growlmy giggled when she read this, BOL! um...sorry about that.
Hope you had a pawsome Father's Day, none the less!
Sorry I wasn't around; our interwebs was kaput...sigh...
Internets are great when they are working but when there are issues they aren't so great.
ReplyDeleteHere is a little secrete - momma thought it was funny too but is really glad I didn't poop on the truck seat or else all hell would have broken out. Daddy probably would have never taken me anyplace again.
